Back Pain – Causes and Remedies.


Back Pain can happen to anyone and in fact it is a very common ailment in today’s world. It is a direct result of long sitting jobs, wrong posture, lack of exercise and sometimes, an accident or deformity.
Wrong posture is a major cause of Cervical Pain, Upper and lower back pain and a host of other physical disorders. Now let us discuss about some of the most common causes of back pain and the easiest remedies available.




Causes of Back Pain:

Wrong Posture: This is a common cause for back pain in maximum cases. By  maintaining proper posture, I mean by maintaining the natural curves of the body. Proper posture keeps your body strong as it helps it to manage and distribute your body weight equally over the muscles and bones involved. However, if the posture is not maintained, it results in abnormal stress and strain in the body. This results in various types of muscular pain, back pain and body injuries.

2.       Stress: Stress results in contracted muscles. Prolonged stress can lead to back pain.

3.       Sleep: Lack of sleep and sleeping on a soft bed and soft pillow can also lead to back pain. If you use a very soft bed or pillow, then while sleeping your body sinks in a bit, thereby distorting the natural posture of your back bone. Sleeping day in and day out in a similar way can be a big cause of back and cervical pain.


4.     Wrong Fooding Habits: people today are relying more and more on junk food. They also eat while walking, Improper fooding habits can lead to accumulation of bad fat and acids in your body that spoil the natural balance in the body. This can also lead to back pain.

5.      Injuries: Injuries can also lead to back pain. Often while playing or actual accidents, we injure our bones and these injuries can lead to back pain at a later stage.

Remedies of Back pain: 

Now let us discuss about the various ways by which we can cure or reduce back pain. The various ways to reduce back pain are as follows:

 Exercise: Regular exercising helps keep your body strong. This helps your body to manage physical stress in a better way. It also prevents your body from getting injured from daily activities. Exercise also keeps our joint fluid and our body in motion. This keeps us more flexible and hence in a better position to deal with many physical stresses.

2.     Good Eating Habit: This helps you maintain your overall health. Good food results in a healthy weight, cholesterol and fat. This also keeps your digestive tract working properly. Proper digestion keeps your intestines clean and healthy. This therefore has an overall healthy effect on your entire body. As inner health reflects in outer health, a healthy body also keeps your back and associated muscles healthy.

3.      Maintain proper posture: If you are not exercising regularly, then you have to pay special attention to your posture. Make sure, you are not sitting continuously for more than 45 minutes. Even in office, take these regular breaks, get up from your chair, take a small walk and then get back to work. Similarly, try not using, too soft bed or pillows also helps keep your back pain in check.



4.     Take proper rest: Avoid stress. Also resort to any activity that helps you reduce stress. Make sure that you take a good night sleep and try to sleep sideways.
